The aim of Third World Politics: A Concise Introduction is to present an analysis of politics in the contemporary Third World, with particular emphasison the post-Cold War 1990s.
The original volume grew out of a seminar taugh by Mitchell Sellingson at the University of Arizona. In preparing for the seminar while on sabbatical at the University of Essex in England, he recognize that there was a great deal of research addressing the two questions posed above, and he attempted to organized that material for his students.
