So far, food orders are still done manually, so there is an error when calculating the amount to be paid and it takes a lot of time for buyers to wait for the cashier to record all transactions using carbon notes. Sumber Gentong Restaurant also does not have back-up data so if there is data loss, all information will be lost and do not have a note as proof of payment. The system at Sumber Gentong Restaurant is very ineffective and efficient. From some of the shortcomings that occurred at Sumber Gentong Restaurant, the authors made the implementation of a desktop-based food ordering application with barcode and SMS integration at Sumber Gentong Restaurant. The stages of research in making food orders at Sumber Gentong are the authors making observations, conducting literature studies, making research designs using DFD (Data Flow Diagrams), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagrams), built using the Visual Studio 2010 programming language, and designing a database in the form of tables. on MySQL Yog. The result of this research is the process
of controlling and managing the data of Sumber Gentong Restaurant to be more effective and efficient. The reporting process can be in the form of data reports and notes for buyers.
