Analisis Berat Beban yang Direkomendasikan untuk Mencegah Cedera pada Operator di Bagian Pusat Air Minum dalam Kemasan "UNMER" dengan Metode RWL (Recommended Weight Limit) (CD + Cetak)
Merdeka University Malang (Unmer Malang) is a private university campus that was founded on July 5, 1964 located in the city of Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Unmer Malang has an internal business unit for bottled mineral water processing (AMDK) which can be called the Unmer drinking water center. Currently, the problems that occur in the process of lifting material handling in the mineral water treatment unit are still done manually by workers or operators who are at risk of injury.
The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the weight of the load that can be lifted by the operator based on calculation recommendations with the Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) method, determine the impact of injuries to the operator based on the Lifting Index (LI) value, find out the proposed repair solutions to minimize the impact of injury. on the operator.
In this study, the Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) and Lifting Index (LI) methods were used to calculate the three processes of lifting and placing objects consisting of water bottles, cardboard water bottles, water gallons. Where in these three processes the risk of injury in the lifting and laying process is the gallon of water. With a lifting value (initial) of 16.7 kg in the (final) laying process of 9.6 kg, the gallon load of water is 19 kg so that it exceeds the recommended limit. The lifting index (LI) value for gallons of water is 1.13 during the lifting process (initial) and 1.9 during the laying process (end) so that it can cause injury risk. The solution suggested by the researcher is that when lifting the gallon, it is placed close to the worker's body. Meanwhile, during the process of placing straight knees, straight body, elbowed hands placed close to the worker's body, improving the RWL value from 16.7 kg to 33.61 kg, the LI value from 1.13 to 0.5 in the lifting process. And the RWL value from 9.6 kg to 21.6 kg, the LI value from 1.9 to 0.87 for the laying process.
