Gaya Hidup Hedonis dalam Perilaku Komunikasi Mahasiswa (CD + Cetak)
The development of technology and the development of this modern era. Making many lifestyle changes, one of which is the hedonistic lifestyle of current students. Hedonism is the behavior of someone who simply wants to find pleasure. Student lifestyle can be seen how a person uses money, his time and his interest in something. Lifestyle is also related to behavior where behavior is a habit of someone who is driven by their own desires to achieve certain goals. As it is known that a person's appearance can show his identity and his existence. By means of symbols, it can communicate itself to others.
This study aims to explain how a hedonic lifestyle is in student life and in terms of communication behavior. This research is expected to provide thoughts, information, and an overview for the development of communication science, especially in the study of communication and culture which examines the hedonic lifestyle in student communication behavior. This research is expected to provide a broad understanding of how students' hedonic lifestyle in communication behavior. The research method in this study used a qualitative descriptive method and the informants in this study were 5 students. The results showed that the hedonic lifestyle behavior carried out by students was a form of conveying self-identity. changes that occur in the informant's hedonistic lifestyle include the way they dress, which tends to wear branded goods, hanging out in cafes or malls. Not only did the way of dress seem to change, the informants' lifestyle also changed.
