This thesis is entitled Despacito Song Lyrics Meaning. This song has won a place in the hearts of listener in various regions because the lyrics are considered to sexy. This study aims to find the meaning of sexuality contained in the song and to find out the relevance of this song in reality in society and to see the song “Despacito” in a social, cultural and religious context.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. The constructivist paradigm views a reality as never separated from the observer. The observer has the right to judge what this reality looks like, so thet the truth obtained can be different for each individual. This study uses interview techniques. In accoradance with the focus of the problem to be studied, namely “What is the meaning contained in the song lyrics “Despacito” wich was popularized by Daddy Yanke , where in this study the researcher got the result about the meaning and myths contained in the song lyrics. This song tells the story of a social reality thet has been troubling people especially in Puerto Rico in recent years. The social reality in question is about free sex. The result of the discussions of this thesis are to see the responses of adolescents, how song that have an element of sexuality have role in the live of adolescents regrading sexuality this is presented in the songs they hear everyday
