Along with the increasingly widespread use of the internet in Indonesia, cyber prostitution activity is also experiencing development. The perpetrators and pimps started using social networking sites like MiChat to carry out their actions. MiChat, which was originally used for friendship, is now being used to market sex transactions. The tetapp substitution exists today, and it has become easier and can be accessed by all groups of people from teenagers to the elderly. The problem raised in this thesis is how the modus operandi of pimps and sex workers to get their customers and how legal policies in Indonesia are as an effective effort to tackle the crime of prostitution. This research uses a type of empirical method and a sociological juridical problem approach that provides accurate and reliable data on the crime of prostitution, so that find conclusions regarding how the modus operandi of online prostitution can be implemented in society and how legal policies should be implemented by the laws that govern them.
