Hubungan Sense of Humor dengan Penyesuaian Diri pada Mahasiswa Baru dari Luar Jawa (CD + Cetak)
New students often have difficulty adjusting to their new environment. Moreover, there are very significant differences in culture and language. The difficulty of committing self-mistakes also has a physical impact, such as headaches, stomachaches and decreased activity efficiency, indicating the harmony of adolescents in their interactions with themselves. As for the psychological impact, such as being unable to achieve mental happiness. So in this case it is necessary to develop a sense of humor in performing self-concerts. This study aims to see the relationship between a sense of humor and self in new students from outside Java. The sample of this research is the new students of Merdeka University Malang who assess 99 people. The sampling technique used random sampling. The data analysis in this study used Pearson's product moment free technique. The research methods used were self-scale validity test and sense of humor scale validity test and reliability test using SPSS 22 computer with cronbach technique on each scale. The results showed that there was a significant relationship with rxy = 0.414 and with p = 0.000, which means that there is a positive relationship between the sense of humor and self in new students from outside Java, which means that the higher a person's sense of humor, the higher he is, and the lower a person's sense of humor the lower he is.
