Culture Park is an open place for cultural activities (Big Indonesian Dictionary). Manggarai is one of the ethnic groups on the island of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). There are many ancestral heritage in Manggarai, such as; cultural objects, sites and heritage. Of the many ancestral heritage in Manggarai Regency, there are five that have been designated as National culture. The five ancestral inheritances are the traditional village of Wae Rebo, Caci dance, Penti (traditional ceremony of thanksgiving for the harvest), Lodok (division of land in a triangular shape) and the
architecture of the drum house (Mbaru Niang). Manggarai Culture Park is a facility that can support Manggarai cultural activities, which serves as a means of performing, expressing, developing, preserving and enjoying the diversity of Manggarai culture. Some of the facilities that will be designed at Manggarai Culture Park include Conservation, Education and Recreation. Manggarai Culture Park is designed with an approach to the theme of Architectural Ecology.
