The needs of getting a better education today is getting higher, the trigger is the growing population rate that demands that fulfillment to be realized. Educational facilities are increasingly demanding for fulfillment not only in the field of formal education but also in non-formal education, in that case the increasing diversity in the field of architecture in this case in the field of education is also increasing. Tazkia Islamic International Boarding School is a boarding school which in application of manhaj shalaf in terms of religious learning and the application of modern concepts
to the learning process in schools, which implements the diniyah curriculum, the national curriculum (Diknas), and the international curriculum (Cambridge) for several classes. The facilities available include residential dormitories, nature classes with the concept of outdoor activities and the application of mobile classes, which are formed to create an interactive, modern and efficient school atmosphere. As well as implementing character building, religion, and technology are the main focuses of Islamic boarding schools. In the design of the SMA Tazkia IIBS Batu City, the theme of Modern Architecture is applied by applying the concept of a building layout in accordance with the axis of the Qibla direction and the philosophical axis of the life line of Muslims, which will be the main axis determining the layout of the building. The design analysis process is categorized by several things, namely analysis, regional potential analysis, climate, view analysis from and into the site,
which analysis supports the selection of the design location that needs attention because it requires calm and the potential of the surrounding area as learning material.
