Analisis Laju Korosi Puli Gilir Dengan Material Plat Baja Hardox 400 pada Redesain Mesin Kais Garam (CD + Cetak)
Salt kais machine has several disadvantages, namely, the track is still not optimal, such as the release of the track puli rotation, the problem on the blade is that when used on a geo-membrane table will damage (tear) the surface of the geo-membrane, and parts of the kais engine that have corrosion especially on rotational pulleys. For this reason, several modifications and innovations have been made to the existing kais engine, in order to improve the work efficiency of the engine and overcome the corrosion problems that occur. In this research redesign (re-refinement) of the salt cage machine and analysis of the rate of corrosion in rotating pulleys with material replacement using hardox 400 steel. The test was carried out aiming to determine the ability of the work machine and the rate of corrosion that occurs in rotating pulleys with variations of the corrosive medium 25 % Salt solution + 75% Aquades solution and 75% NaCl solution + 25% Aquades solution with soaking time for 7 days (168 hours). The results showed that on the corrosive medium 25% Salt solution + 75% Aquades solution the average corrosion rate was 0.251 mm / year and on the corrosive medium 75% NaCl solution + 25% Aquades solution the average value of the corrosion rate was 0.212 mm / year . Based on the table the value of the corrosion rate to the corrosion resistance category of a metal shows that the hardox 400 steel material has a relatively good corrosion resistance so that the use of hardox 400 steel plate material is suitable for use as rolling pulleys on kais machines.
