Financial Institutions function as intermediaries or intermediaries offering various service facilities based on trust. As a financial institution that functions to save funds from the public in the form of deposits and distribute funds in the form of loans and other services, banks provide facilities in providing credit services. The community in general still feels difficulties and considers it too difficult with the conditions set by the bank in granting credit. In addition, because there are many credit requests from the public, problematic credit problems also occur. The above problems can be resolved by the existence of this research, namely how is the procedure carried out in granting credit, what is the cause of problem loans, and how is the handling of problem loans. The purpose of writing the Final Project is to find out the procedures for granting credit and handling problem loans. The data collection method in this thesis uses the observation method, the interview method. While the analysis of the data used is a qualitative descriptive analysis. The research location is at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Unit Mano Manggarai. The object of study in this study is how to deal with problem loans at PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Unit Mano Manggarai. The results showed that the procedure for granting credit at PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Unit Mano Manggarai continued to develop the courage to open a branch office further increasing revenue income for banks. With the development of credit progress, each bank cannot be separated from problem loans. Therefore to improve the development of the performance of PT. The Mano Manggarai BPR Unit requires qualified human resources in terms of offering credit strategies to the public, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of BPR operations, evaluating what needs to be improved for BPR progress, and being able to deal with problem loans.
