The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the effect of the abuse of information technology on accounting student academic fraud behavior as a prospective accountant, (2) the effect of student integrity on the academic fraud behavior of accounting students as a candidate accountant and (3) the influence of misuse of information technology and student integrity on academic fraud behavior of accounting students as prospective accountants in accounting students of Merdeka University Malang .
The population in this study were students of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Merdeka University Malang. The sampling technique used random sampling technique, amounting to 65 people. The source of the data taken was primary data. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The instrument test includes the validity test and the reliability test. The classical assumption test includes the multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, normality test and autocorrelation test. Data analysis uses the t test, F test and multiple regression analysis.
The results showed that: (1) There is a positive influence of Information Technology Abuse on Academic Fraud Behavior of Accounting Students as Accountant Candidates, this is indicated by the regression coefficient of 0.186, the value of t count> t table is 6.491> 1.999 and the significance value is 0.000 t table is 5.037> 1.999, and the significance value is 0.000 F table, namely 49.476> 3.14 and a significance value of 0.000
