As a result of the globalization of competition between companies becomes increasingly stringent. This makes companies increasingly demanded the need for the development of a new accounting system to meet the needs for better information. This study aims to describe the accounting information system and internal control in the cash sales and merchandise inventory system that is applied to the Sari Makmur Supermarket.
This research method uses descriptive methods. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the triangulation technique.
Accounting information systems and internal control in the Sari Makmur Supermarket in practice there is still something that is not in accordance with the theory. Sari Makmur Supermarket should further improve the quality of Human Resources, calculate physical inventory more often as possible and update the software.
