Village government institutions have the aim of improving the people's welfare and also as a public service institution. As a village government service agency, the task of information services is delegated and managed by the Village secretary, whose Village secretary acts as a public outreach. in providing services related to the flow and types of information provided by the Village secretary to the public it is not clear and people still do not know the types of information.

The type of information provided to the community is related to development programs and planning, as well as socialization in increasing the community's creative abilities. Service techniques in disseminating information are usually carried out by village meetings. This deliberation was held to invite or involve the community to take an active role in programs held by the village. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the village secretary in providing information services and its obstacles. Researchers lead to the function of the Village Secretary in the administration of Government in the Village.

This research method uses a descriptive caulitative approach that describes the phonomenes in the field then analyzes the existing facts, is used to examine the conditions of natural objects. Where this research is as a key instrument, the data collection technique is done by triangulation (combined), the analysis is inductive or qualitative. The data used are predominantly secondary data supplemented with the results of interviews and observations and this research was conducted in Ngadirejo Village, Kromengan District, Malang Regency.

Based on the results of the analysis of all sources of informants collected according to research needs, the role of the village secretary in providing information services can conclude from the results of the study that the role of the village secretary is good enough in carrying out the function of the function as a secretarial coordinator. To overcome problems and obstacles, it is necessary to improve again, especially in the use of media in disseminating information.
