The culture of drinking and enjoying coffee has become a modern lifestyle. Young people do not question to buy such coffee even at a relatively expensive price. Their consumptive lives are done for the sake of a modern trend and lifestyle. Various areas of business are currently undergoing development, coffee shop or coffee shop is one that is popping up in cities. Coffee shop or coffee shop becomes a business done in various businesses both individuals and groups. Seeing the reality of coffee shop as a symptom of a new lifestyle of young people, of course many things that background young people choose coffee shop as one of the places to spend time together.
This research aims to find out the culture of ngopi together as the lifestyle of young people of Malang. This research is expected to provide thinking, information, and provide an overview of the development of the existence of coffee shop to lifestyle, especially in the study of deeper communication for more in-depth research on related problems. The research method in this study used qualitative descriptive methods and informants in this study numbered 3 managers and 8 visitors.
This research yields the finding that the cultural phenomenon of hanging out nowadays, young people come to coffe shop not only to buy coffee and just leave the place, but they do other activities such as, hang out, chat for hours with friends, do college assignments and work in coffee shop. Coffee shop has also managed to sell the atmosphere of comfort place as well as good service to its customers.
