In this research the background of the writer who wants to analyze the extent of communication marketing strategies of the Malang Regency Tourism Office in promoting the Three Color CMC. Tourism is one of the industries that experienced enormous growth and even depends on existing natural resources and potential, in addition to human resources to run it. Progress in the world of tourism, beauty, uniqueness or uniqueness of tourist objects that are reached easily and complete facilities that encourage tourists to travel. But tourism is inseparable from the marketing communication strategy used to promote tourist destinations. Clungup Mangrove Conservation (CMC) Three Color is one of the coastal tourism that applies the principle of ecotourism. CMC Three Color is a coastal tourism which is also a place to conserve mangroves and coral reefs. To find out how the marketing communication strategy in the field of promotion in increasing tourist visits to the CMC Three Color. The results of this study are expected to add insight to the wider community to preserve, promote the tourist areas visited or that we have under the auspices of the tourism department.
The purpose of this study is to examine, find out and analyze in depth a variety of communication marketing strategies of the Department of Tourism and Culture of Malang Regency in promoting the Three Color CMC tourist attractions. Theologically, this research can provide benefits and contribute to the development of communication science, especially communication marketing strategies. Practically, researchers can add knowledge about the Department of Tourism and Culture of Malang Regency, specifically about marketing communication strategies. The results of this study are expected to become material for consideration or marketing for the Tourism and Culture Office of Malang Regency.
This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach, emphasizing the meaning, and definitions and situations that are more related to activities with the object of this research directly, through observation and collection of documentation and interviews.
In this research, Malang Regency tourism office promotes the Three Color CMC using marketing communication with various media used advertising (advertising), sales promotion, word of mount (WOM) and even cooperative relations carried out by both internal and external parties who participate in promoting. Through it the Three Color CMC experienced an increasing development through tourists who came to visit.
