Movie is one of a mass communication kind media that significantly to communicate some reality happened in daily society. The effect of impressions on people's lives is more or less influenced by the film of the ideas and story ideas expressed. Image showed in movie can convince audience from real story. Based on explanation, stored moral responsibility in the film to open people's horizons, disseminate information, and contain elements of entertainment, which creates enthusiasm, innovation, human rights, and lifestyle. this can make films a propaganda tool.

The stigma and stereotypes formed in society about women are also more or less influenced by the media. The media always presents the image of women arbitrarily, without thinking about the impact of women's part of the image built in a media. women's relevance to violence and rape is rooted in the social tradition that men have dominated all important activities both politically and economically. women were excluded from positions of economic and political power. women representation showed in 27 Steps of May movie in verbal way. In reality, there’s many non verbal language that man trying to dominate women. Man as if they have authority over women's rights. Shows that men dominate and more or less feel they have authority over women. Other side, the emergence of diverse understandings of religious texts believed to be legitimizing man superiority.

Media imaged in this movie that women can rise up no matter how hard sexual violence they faced. The serious impact that can be experienced from sexual violence, rape can be understood as a gender basis violence. This thing refers to women subordinate from two gender relations reflects the imbalance of power between women and men. Gender role in here, indirectly stated that men put big role to decide on something to women since men dominate public space

This research using qualitatif method with semiotic Roland Bathers’s model for data for indicator take ,sign, connotation and denotation. Another thing as the key at the semiotic Barthes model myth. Myth had function to express and give justification for values that apply in a certain period. At scene analyze served, the myth on some parts in 27 Steps of May prioritize women right that should be done.

From 27 Steps of May can be pulled out that women can fight against their right, however scenes in this movie representate some contradict with actually become the topic is against women. Women at media still visualized as weak one, need men help, and can be fooled easily. For the meaning and the unveil detail sign, writer showed in scene and myth analyze in
order to strengthen the meaning behind the film that shows women's resistance, but in fact many irregularities are considered otherwise.
