Peran dan Strategi Instagram Stories dalam Penyebarluasan Identitas Diri (CD + Cetak)
According to research from the media company We Are Social in collaboration with Hootsuite, it mentions 150 million social media users in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out how to use Instagram stories in the dissemination of their identities. The theory used is the theory of Uses and Gratification. This type of qualitative study is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques undertaken are Indepth Interview and library studies, the number of informant taken is 5 informant, having an Instagram account, is an active user of Instagram and is a member of the Imapala Unmer. Informan utilizes Instagram as a means of disseminating self-identity. Informers who use Instagram social media, make use of the Instagram stories feature to construct their identities, and as containers for self-demonstrations. The creation of self-identity in Instagram social media is influenced by thoughts, experiences, and society. Based on this, it is advisable to use Instagram social media, can be used wisely, and in accordance with the cultural norms that exist in Indonesia. The informant can dig deeper into its potential, and search for a wide variety of information in Instagram to add knowledge and broaden insight into positives.
