Building Automatic Trash Bin Based on Arduino (CD + Cetak)
Using trash bins can be dangerous for people who touched them directly. They will have potentials of getting contaminated by bacteria which will cause various diseases. To avoid these risks, the author planned to build an automatic trash bin. The main purpose of building automatic trash bin is to avoid direct contact between people and trash bin and it will lower the risks of getting contaminated by bacteria on the surface of trash bins. Automatic trash bin will be built by a microcontroller called Arduino Nano and some components such as an IR sensor, resistor, LED and servo motor. All these components will take an important role as they will detect the presence of people in front of it so that the trash bin’s lid will be able to open and close automatically. The result of this final report is a working automatic trash bin that can be operated by itself automatically.
