Alternative Energy if Coconut Shell Biomass Waste with Gasification Process (CD + Cetak)

Indonesia has undergone an unrenewable energy crisis and requires renewable energy or alternative energy to meet the needs of the community. This makes Indonesia begin to develop alternative energy processing to conserve the use of unrenewable energy. Alternative energy can be made from plant or animal waste called biomass. Biomass is a renewable energy that is easy to obtain and environmentally friendly. Coconut Shell is one of the biomass waste that can be processed as an alternative energy, but many people have not been properly utilizing it. Coconut shell utilization is limited to charcoal, and its combustion causes harmful smoke for breathing. One of the better ways to cultivate coconut shell is using the gasification process. Research shows that coconut shell processing using the gasification process can reduce combustion smoke emissions, thus there is no air pollution. Research also shows that the gasification process can produce fuel gases (CO, CH4, H2) that are beneficial to the community.
