Architecture is an applied knowledge that happened to be influenced by a lot of other knowledge. Architecture concept design in Indonesia is influenced by two factors; there are climates or weather that happened in Indonesia and cultures in Indonesia. These building concepts are Modern Architecture, Nusantara Architecture, Tropic Architecture, and the one that happening now is Green Architecture Concept. Green building concept is a building concept that demands a designer/architect to build a building that saves for the environment and contribute a healthy building design for living creatures. Using a natural material, produce and process its own energy and its waste without creating damage for the environment. Bamboo is one of plant that can be used as a building material, it is easily found and renewable. It is suitable to use as an exterior element, because it gives a strong impact to views and easily impresses people. Aside from its stand out, it is also safe for the environment and not creating waste. The positive of using bamboo for a building material is because it's unique characteristics, colors, shape, and other beauties. Behind its uniqueness bamboo has a negative side, it is a little bit difficult to maintains, it needs a special treatment and used a chemical element to keep it in good condition.
