Kajian Hukum Terhadap Tingginya Perceraian Tenaga Kerja Migran di Pengadilan Agama Blitar (CD + Cetak)
Migrant workers are designations for Indonesian citizens who work abroad in a work relationship for a certain period of time for work purposes and for a certain period of time. Blitar area itself is an area that can be categorized as an area where citizens go to become migrant workers. It is said so because of the fact that many people go abroad with the reason to improve the family's economy so that families become more harmonious.
Many of them choose to go abroad (migrant workers) because they think that the income they earn is more promising compared to income in their own country even though they are separated from their families. In fact it can indeed be said that the economic situation of their families tends to be better than the income of workers in Indonesia. But the problems that arise later are those that should be fulfilled with economic needs that make family harmony more visible, this is precisely the opposite, which then makes family disharmony so that frequent disputes within the household have implications for divorce.
The meaning of the word Divorce is the breaking of the marriage ties between husband and wife due to a disharmony of broken family relationships on the basis of an internal factor or an external factor that occurs. This often happens among families of migrant workers. Therefore from that, the author is interested to raise this case. Researchers will use the empirical legal method, which means a legal research method that uses empirical facts taken from human behavior, both verbal behavior obtained from interviews and real behavior carried out through direct observation. This study aims to determine and analyze the background related to the high divorce of migrant workers and legal remedies carried out in the case of Migrant Workers' divorce in Blitar.
