This research uses empirical research methods can also be called field research that examines the applicable legal provisions by directly plunging field, the data in this study were obtained from interviews, laws and reading sources that have relevance to the problem under study.
In this study the authors use the formulation of the problem of how the role of the Batu City Election Supervisory Body in carrying out violations of campaign props (APK), what are the obstacles in taking action violation as well as how to overcome the obstacles that are declared inhibitors of the Batu City Election Supervisory Body.
Election oversight body is an EMB which is domiciled as stipulated in the provisions of Law No. 7 of 2017 concerning Elections. In organizing the 2019 elections the Batu city bawaslu has a role as a supervisor and receives reports of alleged violations of the electoral law as well as receiving and identifying reports of election violations, in the 2019 election the role of the bawaslu is very important considering the many election violations, especially the campaign props that occurred in the 2019 election .
The results showed that the role of the Batu City Bawaslu in carrying out violations of campaign props in the 2019 election was still not optimal, this was caused by several factors, namely: Handling violations with too short a period of time, the number of violations that occurred, the limited authority of the Election Supervisory Body, the lack of quantity HR, lack of funding from the State budget
From the interviews of the authors with members of the Batu City Election Supervisory Body, various efforts undertaken by the Batu City Election Supervisory Body have been carried out ranging from conducting various stages of the election to establish communication and coordination with stakeholders, namely the Provincial Bawaslu, the local government through the municipal police unit office, the Attorney General, Police and Public
Batu City Bawaslu must improve its performance in supervision and contribute to the next election not only as a role or planning process but also must be applied as a way to create a Democratic State that is free from election disputes.
