Marriage is an inner and outer bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife with the aim of forming a happy and eternal family (household) based on the Godhead. Ratification of Government Regulation No 40 of 2019 which determines the time limit for marriage registration has forgotten the existence of a faithful who has long been marriad. The validity of the marriage of the faithful beyond the specified time limit will be questioned. This research was conducted to determine and describe the imlementation of marriages according to the flow of beliefs and to find out how the validiy of marriages for trustees after the issuance of government regulation No 40 of 2019.
This type of research used in this study is normative research using a juridical-normative legal research approach. The legal material used is primary legal material and secondary legal material. The analysis in this discussion is descriptive-qualitative data analysis.
The result of this study indicate that the marriage procedures for trust believers are almost the same as the marriage procedures in general. The difference is that marriages of faith believers are the same as adat marriages and must be done in front of faith lenders who are registered with the ministry of education and culture. The existence of provisions that have given a time limit regarding the recording of marriage of believers who believe in God Almighty result in believers who have entered into marriages that exceed the deadline will not be legally recognized.
