Polygamy is one of the discussions in the field of Family Law, Polygamy for the Islamic community in Indonesia still contains polemic, institutions and regulations. In this study, the study of polygamy focuses on the perspectives of four Muslim priests and law number 16 of 2019 concerning amendments to law number 1 of 1974, relating to the issue of polygamy. Polygamy in the perspective of the four muslim preist does indeed change or is permitted, but with the provisions as conditions that must be met. Not only Islam, the State also agreed to the existence of the practice of polygamy but the law is still accompanied by conditions that are not much different from religious rules. Therefore, if someone who wants to do polygamy then he must understand the rules in religion and the state so that it is also recorded by the state. Although only a description of polygamy from various views of the rules, at the important point is the attitude of the author towards the phenomenon of polygamy in Indonesia. In order to produce firmness in the social community this important do study on normative law. In this paper used a normative juridical approach with various interpretive theories so that this research is one of the considerations in resolving polemics on issues of polygamy.
