This study is about “The Role of National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Law Enforcement Against Narcotics Criminals”. This background of the study is because of The narcotics trade carried out by the perpetrators has become a serious problem that is increasingly visible on the surface of Indonesian society. This issues happened because the Addicts, Abusers, and victims of narcotics abuse have into various circles both upper, middle and lower classes. In fact, the spread of narcotics has reached an alarming level, many actors who spread narcotics give the profit and most of the perpetrators also have economic constraints in doing this business. In conclusion, the handling of narcotics crimes must be serious as well as the National Narcotics Agency has an important role to overcome the problem of the spread of narcotics in Indonesia.
The limitation of this study is Malang National Narcotics Agency whose address is on Mayjen Sungkono No. 55, Buring, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, East Java. The writer using the type of Empirical Legal Research Method that is by interviews and requesting data from the National Narcotics Agency of Malang City, with the target is to find out how the roles and obstacles experienced in the field at law enforcement against narcotics offenders in Malang. In order to enforce the law, National Narcotics Agency of Malang City has a legal basis for eradicate the narcotics crimes namely Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
Law enforcement against narcotics crime from Malang National Narcotics Agency is the spherehead of the application to prevent the citizen in order to lapse by the profit of spreading narcotics amongst community. In addition, Writer expect the community to comprehend and aware due to narcotics crime it can give an effect for the community themselves.
