Working as Front Office Staff at Amarta Hills Hotel and Resort (CD + Cetak)
On the Job Training or OJT program is one of the programs that aims at not only applying the knowledge, skills but also getting experience in the real work world. By conducting this program, the students are prepared to be ready to face the tight competition of real working after completing the study. The writer was posted in the Front Office Department at AmartaHills Hotel and Resort. Front Office Department consists six division and the writer was assigned, especially as a reservation supporting staff and operator staff. Both in the reservation and operator divisions, the writer did so many activities that enriched the writer’s knowledge in the field of hotel, especially Front-office-related stuffs. The example of the knowledge are how to communicate well with guest by telephone, how to communicate with foreign guest and how to archive room reservation in Hotel Visual Program. Working as a reservation and operator staff, the writer not only know the knowledge about Front Office jobs also supporting skills. The skills needed can be public speaking, multitasking, organization ability and good communication.
