THE USE OF FUN AND GAMES ACTIVITY TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL AT SDN PISANG CANDI 3 MALANG (CD + Cetak)

To teach the young learners, it needed activities that influence the success of
teaching. In this case, the problems that faced by the students of SDN Pisang
Candi 3 Malang were lacking of confidence and method that they used by English
teacher. The writer taught from the first grade to sixth grade. In line with the
problems above, the writer helped student by giving some motivation before
teaching and also used the new teaching activity which was Fun and Game
activities. Those activities involved playing and enjoying such as singing,
clapping hand, solving puzzle, drawing, etc. The implementation of these
activities helped the students a lot. After using fun and game activities, the
students became more active in the classroom. Students’ interest and confidence
improved in learning English. It could be concluded that the use of fun and game
activities could improve students’ speaking skill. Teacher should have a good
media to teach English as well. The writer hoped that the English teachers at SDN
Pisang Candi 3 Malang could be motivated in teaching English by using the
activities that could make the students feel interested in learning English.
