On the Job Training Program is a requirement program for 6th students which
held by D-III English Program to train students’ skill before they enter in a field
of working world. By doing this program, students will achieve a lot of
knowledge, experience and skill from the OJT place. During the training the
writer was assigned as a tour guide at Sunrise Holiday Tour and Travel Service
with responsibility for serving tourists. The writer found a variety of several
difficulties in the new environment at the OJT place because of the lack of selfconfidence in communication such as doing presentation, handling tourists and
sharing brochures. The writer made it even though it was difficult but she did her
best as she could. The writer thought that this program is such a valuable
opportunity for her because she could apply her knowledge, skill and experience
from what she have learned during 3 years study in D-III English Program as
well. Besides, through this OJT Program students are going to be more ready to
face the real working world, they will be more professional and have
responsibility in doing their job, and good at handling the problem that they might
face in the future. In the end, the writer believes that D-III English Program is
able to struggle in providing better knowledge so that D-III English Program can
produce graduates who are smart and useful for the community in the future.
