Observation and On the Job Training Program or OJT Program are program to
equip students with observation activities and working experience. By conducting
this program, the students are prepared to be ready to face tight competition in the
working world in the future. During observation the writer was being a volunteer
at Bebek Deru stall as Promotional Manager’s assistant. There were several main
jobs as a Promotional Manager’s assistant, such as explain about the Promotional
Mix strategy to the Promotional Manager, make a design of brochure, banner and
catalogue, update the Bebek Deru stall’s official facebook, distribute the Bebek
Deru stall’s brochure and catalog and doing forecasting about the Bebek Deru
stall’s sales volume. The Promotional Mix was combination of promotion
variables that most important to inform or persuades actual or potential consumers
about the firm’s products. The writer had encountered some difficult situations,
like misunderstanding the order of costumers. According to the the writer,
Observation Program can be a means of self improvement process to build a good
personality, work ethic and working performance through being a volunteer. In
addition, from Observation Program students are expected to be more patient,
professional and responsible on their jobs. The writer expects that D3 English
Program can enhance the educational system for better graduates in the future.
