This study aimed to analyze the relationship between security controls, e-vendor
reputation and familiarity with confidence in the behavior of using e-commerce for business
transactions. The number of samples in the study of 205 people, with the criteria of the
people who live in East Java province which have used e-commerce system and the people
living in the province of East Java who know and understand about business dealings with
the media e-commerce. Mechanical analysis used analysis of structural equation modeling
(SEM). The results showed that confidence in e-commerce is affected by the integrity of the
data, the e-vendor reputation and familiarity. Data integrity is used to ensure that data in
transmission is not intercepted, modified, or deleted by unauthorized. E-vendor's reputation
is an attribute given to the seller based on information from people or other sources.
Familiarity is the understanding, based on previous interactions, experiences, and learning
about what, why, where and when other people do what they do. Confidence in e-commerce
is not determined by the dimensions of the security controls that include authentic, non-
repudiation strength, the strength of confidentiality and privacy protection force.
Authentication is used to determine the person or user is actually entitled to the information
or services in e-commerce. Non-repudiation is used to ensure that the parties to a transaction
trade in e-commerce transactions cannot deny they are doing by providing reports or facts on
the use of services by each user. Confidentiality is used to ensure that all communications
that occur in e-commerce is only known by the parties involved in the communication, or
simply a user or users who have obtained any authorization to access the data or
information. Privacy protection is used to ensure that personal information about customers
collected from electronic transactions they are protected from unauthorized disclosure.
