Social adjustment is the capacity or provide an effective response to the reality, situations and social relations in which it can occur in the family, school and community environments. Social adjustment as a process or a group of individuals to achieve social equilibrium in the sense of not in conflict with the environment, so the teens were able to adapt to the social environment. Social Adjustment will go well and the maximum if supported by high emotional intelligence of every teenager. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between Emotional Intelligence with Social Adjustment in Adolescents SMA Panjura Malang. The population used in this study were high school students Panjura Malang especially male students.

Sampling using Purposive Sampling with a population of 229 students and sample as many as 80 students. The validity of the results on a scale of social adjustment with a 0.05 significance moving from 0.302 to 0.591 with a number of valid items 45 items, while emotional intelligence is expressed on a scale of 60 items that are valid with 0.301 correlation coefficient -0.577. The calculation of the reliability values obtained social adjustment variable alpha (α) = 0.858 and variable reliability values obtained Emotional Intelligence alpha (α) = 0.897. Where two numbers are according to the rules stated reliability is very reliable on social adjustment variable and very reliable on emotional intelligence variables. The results of data analysis showed r count r is greater than the count table with a ratio r (0.637) > r table (0.220) Emotional Intelligence and Social Adjustment no positive linear relationship between two variables. So it can be said that there is a relationship between Emotional Intelligence to the Social Adjustment in Adolescents SMA Panjura Malang.
