Hubungan Kematangan Emosi Dengan Stres Pada Mahasiswa Dalam Mengerjakan Skripsi di Universitas Merdeka Malang (CD+Cetak)

This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship emotional maturity with stress on students in completing the thesis. The population used in this study were all students who are working on the thesis semester of 2013 at the Merdeka University Malang, amounting to 229 students. The sample used in this study were students of the faculty of social sciences and political science Merdeka of University Malang from the student population thesis work at the Free University of Malang, amounting to 65 people. Sampling using purposive sampling. Measuring instruments used in this study is the scale stress and emotional maturity. The process of data analysis is the Pearson product moment correlation. The results for the stress scale of 73 items made, as much as 68 items valid. As for the scale of the emotional maturity of a 57 items made, as many as 54 valid items. Estimates of reliability for the stress scale obtained an alpha 0.959, while the emotional maturity scale so obtained 0.916 alpha reliability test results indicate that a reliable degree. The results of the data analysis showed that the count r is greater than r table (-0.657 > 0.244 ) with a significance level of 5 %, which indicates that there is a relationship between the negative direction with the emotional maturity of stress on students in completing the thesis, so that the initial hypothesis stated there is a relationship between emotional maturity with stress on students in working thesis, accepted.
