Si., Psikolog II Adolfus Yunanto Putro, S.Psi., M.A Consumer behavior is the individuals behavior which intent to fulfill their needs excessively, in order to gain a satisfaction and social recognition. Consumer behavior generally occur in teenagers, where in general the children at this age are still unstable, tends to depend on parents, and always strive fulfill their wishes. Some of the factors that influence consumer behavior is, cultural factors, social class, family, group, personal, and psychological. One of the psychological factors that influence consumer behavior is body dissatisfaction. Body dissatisfaction is the negative thought,such as feelings of shame, self-conscious, even unhappy of physical appearance. Individuals will try to improve themselves as perfect as possible because the body dissatisfaction regarded as a dstracting component in appearance. The phenomenon of body dissatisfaction usually experienced by adolescent girls. There is a tendency to always be perfect anytime, anywhere. So the supporting equipment such as cosmetics and clothing should always up to date. These tendencies also happened to the teenage girl models in Malang. As a model, of course, they should have an attractive physical appearance in order to support their performance on the catwalk. To support their appearance, the girls intent to spent money to buy their gears, such as cosmetics or clothes, and this happened excessively. Based on this phenomenon, the researcher interested in conducting a research with the hypothesis, "There is a relationship between body dissatisfaction and consumer behavior in teenage girls models”. To test this hypothesis, the research has conducted by spread the research scale to 75 girl models in one of the most famous model agency in Malang. After all of the data has collected, the data was analyzed using computer program SPSS. The results shows that there is a relationship between body dissatisfaction and consumer behavior, indicated by the value of rtabel of 0.227, so rhitung (0.767)> rtabel (0.227) means that rhitung is bigger than rtabel. The result relationship is a positive relationship, which means if the body dissatisfaction tendency is higher, so as consumer behavior, and vice versa.
