In this modern era that emphasizes technology, as well as the individual
demands of fast-paced changes make individuals within it will experience
problems if the individual is not able to adjust. Inability of the adjustment will
impact irresponsible, ignoring the lessons, the attitude is very aggressive and very
sure of myself, feeling unsafe, feeling like to go if it is far from an unknown
environment, low self-esteem, feel excluded from society, tend to behave in a less
normative and commit acts of violence and feelings of surrender. This condition
will get worse if students or students ignored aspects - aspects of religion in his
next life called religiosity, because basically religion is one of the four dimensions
that affect the lives of individuals. If one aspect of the four dimensions is not met
then the function will be disturbed human being, one of which is the adjustment
because the adjustment is part of the psychological dimension. This is where the
concept of religion can minimize students' inability adjustment in modern times.
The purpose of this study was to examine the association of religiosity with the
adjustment to the boarding school students. The hypothesis of this study was the
relationship of religiosity on adjustment. The research sample 132 students of
Madrasah Aliyah boarding Rasyidiah Khalidiah (Rakha) Amuntai. Sampling
technique using proportional stratified sample. Methods of data collection using
the Likert method, the details as much as 60 aitem religiosity scale and scale
adjustment of 60 items. The validity of the test results using the correlation of
Pearson Product moment where religiosity scale showed a fall aitem 8 and 52
aitem valid with a correlation coefficient of 0.301 to 0.737 moving with a
significance level of 5%, while the scale of adjustment showed a fall aitem 7 and
53 aitem valid with a correlation coefficient of 0.301 to 0.541 moving with a
significance level of 5%, the results of reliability testing two variables using the
formula of Cronbach Alpha coefficient indicates reliabelitas of 0.884 to 0.935 for
the adjustment and religiosity, which shows a second measurement scale is
reliable and very reliable. The results of the data analysis using product moment
correlation showed that the count r = 0.511 and r = 0.172 in table 5% significance
level at which a count r 0.511> 0.172 r table means the hypothesis is accepted.
