On the Job Training or OJT Program is a program to equip students with working experience and more skills. By conducting this program, the students are prepared to be ready to get a job and face the competition on working world in the future. The writer did her On the Job Training at English Learning Centre (ELC) Malang as an English teacherassistant. There were three main jobs during the OJT (observing location, teaching activities and attending meeting). As an English teacher, the writer had to make teaching plan, prepare teaching materials, and do the teaching activities in the classroom. When the writer was doing her OJT, she found the internal and external problems. Her internal problems were lack of experience in teaching the second language and adapting process to the new environment. The external problem were handling the student which less to interaction with other student and hard to accept the lesson. When the writer taught, she used techniques of teaching process for young learners; using body language, visual aids, and using media. Therefore the writer chose the title: The Importance of Teaching Media to Stimulate the Antusiasm of Children in Learning English at English Learning Centre (ELC) Malang. The OJT program gave the advantages for both of D3 English Program and the writer. OJT program has gained all the targets of D3 English Program(fulfill the applicable curriculum, maintain relation with the institution and promote D3 English Program Merdeka University Malang) and of the writer’s targets (enlarge the experience in working, build work decency, provide the opportunity to promote the students). The writer expects that D3 English Program can enhance the educational system for better graduates in the future.
