Perbedaan kepercayaan diri pada remaja putri yang merokok dan tidak merokok (CD+Cetak)
Confidence is a belief against all aspects of one's strengths and weaknesses he has and the
confidence to make her feel able to achieve various goals in life. The confidence comes
from the individual's own self because of the sense of security, acceptance of self and
circumstances of the relationship with others and the environment is able to provide
assessment and support, thus affecting the growth of confidence. The independent
variables in this study were smoking behavior, while the dependent variable is the
confidence. The subjects in this study were adolescents aged 18-21 years. This research
data collection methods using the confidence scale consisting of 50 items. Results of
testing the validity of using the Pearson product moment formula shows 6 items that fall
and there are 44 items that valid or invalid by a moving correlation coefficient between
0,229 to 0,604. The result of reliability test using Cronbach alpha formula shows
correlation coefficients of 0.863, which means the scale of measurement in this study are
reliable or have the reliability. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that tcount =
5,379 and ttable = 2,000, so that it can be seen that tcount > ttable which means that the
hypothesis proposed in this research is proven and accepted. The average score
confidence teenage girls who do not smoke at 127,85 and the average teenage girls who
smoke at 115,15, so it can be concluded that girls who do not smoke have a higher
confidence than the young women who smoke.
