Hubungan self efficacy dengan kebutuhan afiliasi pada remaja perokok (CD + Cetak)
Adolescence is a period when teenagers began to focus on group activities. Where teenagers
will do whatever is determined by a group of teenagers in order to be recognized and
accepted in the group or commonly referred to as the needs of affiliates. Affiliation appears
one of them needs related to avoid the sense of loneliness, worthlessness. Teenagers today
are less likely to have good self confidence on the capabilities of the behaviors commonly
called self-efficacy. Thus, behaviors such as smoking by adolescents is increasing its
frequency to the creation of a sense of accepted and recognized by the peer group. The
independent variables in this study were self-efficacy and the dependent variable is the need
for affiliation. The hypothesis of this research is no self efficacy relationship with affiliation
needs in adolescent smokers. The sample in this study found that adolescents who fall into
the category of the population can be interviewed as responders. For the sample size is
determined by the length of time used was 60 people adolescent smokers with age range 1221
years. The sampling technique using the incidental sampling method. Data collection
methods using Likert scale, consisting of two scales of scale needs as much as 60 item
affiliation and self-efficacy scale of 60 item. Results of testing the validity of using the
formula of Pearson Product Moment where scale shows 6 item affiliation needs are slain
and 54 item valid with a correlation coefficient moves from 0.279 to 0.699 with significant
level of 5%, while self-efficacy scale showed four item are slain and 56 valid item with
correlation coefficient moves from 0.410 to 0.771 with significant level of 5%. Reliability
test results of the two variables by using the formula of the Cronbach's Alpha showed a
correlation coefficient of 0.920 to 0.964 for the needs of affiliation and self-efficacy, which
shows the second measurement scale is very reliable. The results of data analysis using the
Product Moment Correlation showed that the count r = -0.607 and r = -0.254 for the level
tables significant 5% which if r counted -0.607 > r table -0.254 means there is a correlation
with self efficacy in adolescent smokers affiliation needs.
