On the Job Training Program or OJT Program is a program to equip student with working experience and more skills. By conducting this program, the students are prepared to be ready to face tight competition in the working world in the future. During OJT Program the writer was assigned at Bank JATIM (Jawa Timur) or East Java Bank Perak Branch as Assistant at Over Seas Supervisor. At Over Seas the work was translating L/C (Letter of Credit) from foreign countries used by Bank JATIM as their opening bank. Over Seas is a part of program in Bank JATIM that handles the processing of export import especially in Surabaya. When the writer worked as translator he found problem, like how to translate international word symbol, because some of them used symbol to assign the name of the goods. The problem was solved, because Over Seas Supervisor had dictionary on the words. According to the writer, OJT Program can be a means of self adjustment process to build a good work ethic for the students. Beside, students are expected to be more responsible and professional on their job. In other words, this program is aimed to prepare the students who will enter work environment and handle the problems that might emerge in the future. The writer expects that D-III English Program can enhance the educational system for better graduates in the future.
