Globalization era at this time bring great effect to competition among job seeker, It is because of the limited job offering. On the other hand, the free trade and the development of information and communication technology as the effect of globalization brings the job seekers are not only coming from Indonesia but also are coming from the other countries. This condition causes companies to be more selective to recruit the employees, they have the tendency to employ workers with high quality.
To make the graduates ready to face globalization era, D-III English Program conduct OJT. OJT is the Program which combines both theory and practice is On The Job Training. In this occasion, the writer did her OJT in Finna Golf and Country Club Resort (FGCCR). On The Job training program started on June1, 2006 and ended on July 31, 2006.
When the writer did her OJT she had faced a problem. The writer found that there was a different interpretation of implementing Standard Operation Procedure. This happened when her Supervisor did not allow her to handle the telephone, but Hotel Manager allowed her to handle the telephone. It made the writer in a difficult position.
Based on the writer’s experience during her OJT for two months at FGCCR, On the Job Training has many advantages. The first, advantages for trainee students, in working world they can get information that they never got in campus.
