Penerapan metode benchmarking quality guna meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pada PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang (CD)
While seeing many financing companies which grow rapidly and each of them tries to draw its customers in various way, PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang trying to improve its service quality by analyzing the company both internally and externally. In achieving that it required an analysis to know the existing quality of PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang.
For that we used the comparator study that is Benchmarking Method and also comparative analysis that is SWOT analysis. The Benchmarking Method is the means to create or improve the competitiveness and also able to enhance the product position in market. Through the Benchmarking Method will be obtained information about the best performance from more excellent competitors both from the same type company or from the other type of company, thus this information can be utilized by the company to create better product than the better. Whereas the SWOT analysis represents the comparative analysis used to identify various factors systematically to formulate the company strategy. This analysis relied on logic which maximizing Strength and Opportunities, but at the same time it also minimizing Weaknesses and Threats.
According to the processing results and data analysis, the conclusion which obtained is that there are 7 factors of Strengths, 8 factors of Weaknesses, 7 factors of Opportunities, and 8 factors of Threats. According to SWOT matrix obtained, PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang positioned at the V quadrant with co-ordinate position (0,187 ; 0,277) so that which must be applied in this position is supporting growth policy, while matrix I.E with coordinate (2,737 ; 2,451). Therefore, what had to be applied in this position is supporting aggressive growth policy (Growth Oriented Strategy). And PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang had taken some actions to overcome Weaknesses and Threats by exploiting Strengths and existing Opportunities. Consequently, by applying Benchmarking Method with SWOT analysis, PT. Asuransi Jiwasraya Malang can improve the service quality to be given to customers.
