Studi penelitian batu diorit sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat kasar untuk HRS A pada lapis permukaan jalan raya (CD)
Stone as rough aggregate is one of the important component in a mixture of road hardening. The aim of this rasearch is to analyze whether Diorit stone as rough aggregate on HRS A mixture can be used in road surface hardening structure.
This research used broken stone rough aggregate, smoot aggregat, and sand from Malang as well as Diorit stone as alternative submitted rough aggregat from Kecamatan Watulimo Kabupaten Tranggalek East Java while the asphal used is asphal with penetration 60/70 from Pertamina. Before being used as hardening material, Aggregat was tested toward organic content, presure power, water content, absorption, and massa. The result was conformed to requerement of Bina Marga A (No. 023/T/Bt/1995). continued to next test by using Marshall equipment.
Data of the research result and Regresion Analyse result were taken from stability score, Flow, by asphalt content optimum 5,60% to HRS A mixture.
It was known there was decreasing of stability score 8.32% and decreasing of flow score 12.89% from rough aggregate Diorit stone toward broken stone as comparison standard so it can take a conclusion that Diorit stone is still able to be used as alternative submitted rough aggregat for HRS A on road surface layer.
