The network system of clean water distribution is a network which is modeled in order to distribute the water through piping system from the reservoir to the services area (consumers). The need of clean water is very crucial for human in order to improve their standard of living, unexceptionally in Desa Karang Widoro Malang East Java, of which it has suffered from clean water shortage. The purpose of this study is to plan comprehensively starting from the distribution, reservoir construction and cost analysis.
In planning a distribution network, it is projected the number of people and facility for the next ten years (2006-2016), where there are 4629 residents and for relatively permanent facility. From this calculation, the number of total water needed is 21 l/sec. This result was used to plan the distribution network of the clean water which uses Watercad program where it aims at determining the dimension of the pipe. In order to design the structure of reservoir, we use Staad Pro 2004 program which aims at crating inner styles, which then produces the backbone calculation using the available rules in Indonesia. After the pipe structure and water reservoir are finished, then we plan the overall cost.
The calculation from Watercad resulted in the pipe dimension of 8, 6, 4, 3, and 2 inches, while the needs of backbone for reservoir for the D13 roof plate, floor plate and D18 wall structure plate, D16 roof beam, D20 floor beam, D18 column, and foundation for D30 bottom backbone, and D18 upper backbone. The total cost obtained here is Rp 2,389,815,000.00.
