The importance of knowing menu and function order to create guests satisfaction in banquet department of Purnama Hotel Batu Malang (CD)
The globalization era and the world changing, make the competition in working life become harder. Based on this reality, student should have something better than other competitors if we want to be the winner. For this research, D-3 English program of Merdeka University of Malang conducts On The Job Training (OJT) as the one of their proper program for their students.
In the OJT implementation, the writer has done his OJT in Purnama Hotel Batu (one of four star hotel in Batu) for two months (on June 1st – July 31st 2006). In his OJT, the writer found new experience about the real working life and everything about working as hotelier, especially as waiter in Banquet Department. In his report, the writer is interested to discuss the importance of knowing menu and function order. Because the writer sure that it can be the important thing iin order to create guest’s satisfaction, especially for Banquet Department.
The writer thinks that On The Job Training (OJT) program is very beneficial program for the students of D-3 English program of Merdeka University Malang. In fact, On The Job Training (OJT) brings all parties to the better work life style which can be more professional in students’ future. Therefore, the writer hopes that D-3 English program of Merdeka University Malang will give more attention to this program achievement
