OJT is a of D-III English Program Merdeka University Malang that have purpose give opportunity to the students to apply, develop and increase their skill and knowledge that they got in campus to the working world or environment, learn how to work, adapt with new situation,character and people, how to solve the some problems or everything that have relevant with job activity in the working world or in an institution, as a reference for the students easier to get a job in the future. OJT program also a mediator to promote Merdeka University Malang that has D-III English Program suplemented with an OJT.
The writer takes Malang Touirsm Information and Communication Board because of some raesons. Fisrt, Tourism information and Communication Board has an important role to promote and to develop tourism in Malang because, it is an instituion providing service related to tourism. Second, the writer wants to know the tourism objects which are interesting in Malang. Third, the witer would like to l;eran more about tourism. And the last the writer would also like to know how Tourism Information and Comnmunication Board develop and increase tourism in Malang.
The reasons why the writer selected the tittles "Selection of Kakang Mbakyu 2006 by the Tourism Information nad Conmmunication Board to Increase Tourism for Malang City", was because as a toursim city with "Tri Bina Cita Kota Malang", it could be able to develop Malang potency in tourism sector, so Malang become tourist destination city to drive program city's Government, also to develop and attract Malang art and culture region needs tourist ambassadors to promote Malang potency in National level even in International level. This activity, beside to promote Malang in touirsm aspect also to increase and incite suatainable tourism from the society and young generation, so Malang as tourist destination city will be able to realization soon.
There a lot of problems that the writer faced during the OJT. First, lack coordination from the superior to the subordinates, so the subordinates do their duties not too serious. Second, lack of diciplin, from both superior and subordinates, they usually come in late and back early. Third, sometimes the subordinates run away from their duties and responsibility, they usually don't want drive their duites well. Fourth, lack of work in team and not too compact, they usually work individualist, that’s why there a lot of job turn overs are usually do in a hurry and finally the result is not satisfying the superior also themselves.
