PT. Selamat Sempurna is repetitive flow shop manufacturer has a make to order business. It produces otomotive filter as a main product.
The problerm which face of by PT. Selamat Sempurna are the SPCD’s Invenventory that not been arranged, which cause by the customer demands are not constantly, and inventory order specially SPCD until received (lead time are constant) are 3 month, meanwhile the company is only could do the minimum order for the SPCD are only 20 ton. This problem cause the production proceed disturbed.
Solving the problem, SPCD requirement planning is so important to utilize an efficient inventory control technique. ROP Planning By Making Fixed Quantity Lot Size is taken as a tool to slove inventory planning and control problem when demand changes uncertainly (Probabilistic ).
From the research and data processing, is found that reorder point by using Simple EOQ Method for SPCD ME 006066 are 6 ton and the SPCD MD 069782 are 9,176 ton, meanwhile by using Probabilistic EOQ Method for SPCD ME 006066 are 7,038 ton and the SPCD MD 069782 are 10,32 ton. When the inventory reach the safety limit, the new inventory has come so there are no stock out condition. And according to the account of total cost from the plat inventory so, can be known that Probabilistic EOQ Method more efective to plan inventory that it has seasoning condition. This is caused by the total cost are smaller than Simple EOQ Method there are SPCD ME 006066 Rp.24.515.780,- < Rp. 24.840.955,- and for the SPCD MD 069782 Rp.36.038.325,- < Rp. 48.239.749,-. Its caused by Probabilistic EOQ Method are estimate of the demand are uncertainly with constant lead time, so the cost of inventory stock out can be forecast.
