Tool making and design at Finaly Duty aimed to make a tool or a system that functions as a counter at tape recorder that using microcontroller technology AT89C51 as a control center to counts according with instruction change from censor and the result will be displayed at LCD. The discussion in this Finaly Duty are hardware and software design. Hardware contain of mechanical design, display, censor, and audio tools that used in completing the tool made whereas software uses programming language, namely C (MCS-51).
This tools contains three touch censor, functions to detect tape knob pressure and infra red censor that function as speed rotating spindle detector. Therefore, if we make a change to the tape knob, it will be detected, therefore microcontroller will not fault in prosessing the data that will be displayed at LCD.
The steps in calculation are the cassette put inside the tape, then the play knob be pressed. If the play knob pressed, microcontroller will count forward (counter up) but if rewind knob be pressed, the microcontroller will count backward (counter down). After detecting signal from censor, it will be processed at microcontroller and the will be displayed at LCD.
