Perbedaan kecerdasan emosional ditinjau dari tingkat pendidikan (SMU dan S1) pada karyawan PT. HP Metals Indonesia Mojokerto (CD)+(cetak)
In a working world, someone’s success not only determined by his or her ability to work in proper, but also supported by the ability to interact with the company’s environment, colleagues, employees, leader and business partner. Someone’s emotional quotient in self considering (emotion considering), self arrangement (emotion management), self motivation, empathy (knowing someone else’s emotion) and having relationship (social ability) are support very much the success on working. Emotional quotient is a human basic ability to survive by considering other, protect the relation toward other. According Goleman (1995), emotional quotient uncorrelated on intelligence quotient and educational level. This research aimed to explore the differences of emotional quotient viewed from the educational level (senior high school and first graduate) on P.T. H.P. Metals Indonesia. This research hypothesis is the existence of emotional quotient viewed from educational level (senior high school and first graduate) on P.T. H.P. Metals Indonesia. The populations on this research are 400 employees. The sample technique is purposive sample, thus, the subjects for this research are 170 employees of P.T. H.P. Metals Indonesia. Data collection method in this research used Liked scale is emotional quotient scale and documenter. The validity test result toward 100 items used product moment presented by Pearson; by the coefficient correlation 20 items of them are valid by the coefficient correlation range 0,148 – 0,193. The alpha coefficient re ability test result obtained 0, 8904 showed that the scale reliable. The data analysis result by t-test with t hit > t (t = 2,291>1,960) with significance level 0,023 > 0,050. Thus, from data analysis concluded that there is difference on emotional quotient on employees whose senior high school graduated and the first graduated one.
