Perbedaan kemampuan sosialisasi remaja yang mengikuti program pendidikan akselerasi dan pendidikan non akselerasi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang (CD)+(cetak)
The capability of social interaction is very necessary for adolescent in order for them being accepted by their peers or society. The socialization ability is an individual process to be acceptable and able to adapt themself to any values and traditions in the society. The program of accelerated education is learning acceleration program for the children with high intelligence. Meanwhile, non accelerated-education program using competence-based curriculum (KBK) approach is oriented more to the outcomes that are expected apparent in students and has varieties which are manifested according to the students’ needs. The aim of this study was to see if there is difference contribution between accelerated and non-accelerated education to the adolescents’ ability in socialization. The dependant variable of this study was the adolescent socialization ability; while the independent variables of were both accelerated and non-accelerated education. Hypothesis of the study would be there was difference between accelerated and non-accelerated education against the adolescent’s socialization ability. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. The data gathered in this study using 80 items scale of the socialization ability. From the result of validity test using Product Moment Correlation, it was found 4 fail items and 76 valid items with respectively correlation coefficient of 5% ranging from 0.195 to 0.255, and coefficient of 1% ranging from 0.256 through 0.635. From reliability test using Alpha-Cronbach fomula, it was found correlation coefficient of 0.9260, indicating that the scale of socialization ability was very reliable. The results of data analysis using T-test showed t = 2.091 > 1.980 with significance level of 0.039 > 0.050.
