In this modern day, the world of cellular communication (Handphone) has grown rapidly, either in voice communication, data, and especially in the service of short message or SMS ( Short Message Services ) which has a lot of consumers.
But a lot of SMS ( Short Message Services ) technological consumers only use it just for communication, so that other technological functions of SMS ( Short Message Services ) are seldom used and developed.
In this final paper the writer makes an instrument and apply the SMS (Short Message Services) technology at the area of security observer and control the electronic equipments at home. Where in that house there are 2 Infrared censors and Photodioda placed at the door and window. Those censors give a signal to the instrument if the door or the window is forced to be opened, then this instrument will automatically deliver a message to the owner of the house through SMS ( Short Message Services ) technology with a message that the window and door is opened. The owner of the house can also turn on the lights or the electronic equipments at home by delivering an SMS ( Short Message Services ) command to the number of the handphone which has already been set in the instrument at home.
In the instrument testing, this instrument can work well, and there is a delay on receiving and delivering the message because the SMS Center is sometimes busy. So this instrument is highly influenced if the SMS Center Provider of the handphone is busy, so that there will be a delay.
